For My Boyfriend

Flavia was still studying at that time and wanted to give her boyfriend Antonio a joint portrait for his birthday. As Antonio loves Japanese culture — among other things, anime and manga — this is how she found us. From her selection of photos, we chose images and composed them anew, creating a surprise gift.

A few years later, I saw Antonio at the boarding gate of Naples Airport — until then I had never actually met him in person — and felt compelled to speak to him directly. We immediately sent a selfie to Flavia. Life can truly be full of surprises!

当時まだ学生だったフラビアから、ボーイフレンドのアントニオに誕生日プレゼントとして共同ポートレートを贈りたい、と相談を受けました。アントニオは日本の文化 — 特にアニメや漫画を愛しており、そこで私たちを見つけたそうです。彼女から提案されたいくつかの写真の中から選んだ構図を新たに構成してサプライズギフトとしての作品が出来上がりました。

まさか数年後、ナポリ空港の搭乗口で偶然アントニオに会うことになるとは！それまで実際には会ったことがなかったけれど、制作過程で何ヶ月も見てきた顔。一目みた瞬間、顎が落ちるほど目を見開いたことを覚えています。アントニオもあ。。。っ！と見たこともない私の正体に気づき、私たちは早速フラビアに自撮りを送りました。人生は時として本当に驚きですね！

Für meinen Freund

Flavia studierte damals noch und wollte ihrem Freund Antonio zum Geburtstag ein gemeinsames Portrait schenken. Antonio liebt die japanische Kultur – unter anderem Anime und Mangas –, daher hat sie uns gefunden. Aus ihrer Fotoauswahl haben wir Bilder ausgewählt und neu komponiert – so entstand ein Überraschungsgeschenk.

Nach ein paar Jahren sah ich Antonio am Boarding-Gate des Flughafens Neapel – bis dahin hatte ich ihn ja noch nie in echt gesehen – und musste ihn sofort ansprechen. Wir haben direkt ein Selfie von uns an Flavia geschickt. Das Leben ist manchmal wirklich eine Überraschung!
